The KINGMAX products were many times tested in our lab. We have already introduced you to the SSD-drives, flash drives and memory cards of Taiwanese manufacturer, which produced quite a good impression thanks to a good combination of performance, quality and reasonable cost. Also such a major producer deals with memory modules.

KINGMAX DDR4-3200 Nano Gaming RAM

In this review we will look at a set of relatively young RAM standard DDR4, which will be relevant for the next few years. Set KINGMAX DDR4-3200 Nano Gaming RAM, as you might guess by its name, refers to a series of KINGMAX DDR4 Nano Gaming RAM, a key advantage of which is the original method of cooling the memory chips – the application of technology NANO Thermal Dissipation. The essence of its work means the application of thin layer of diamond-like carbon particles and silica, which increases environmental through smaller carbon content and reduced the temperature by 10%. In addition, this method of cooling does not increase the height of the modules, which means they can be used with a wider list of overall CPU coolers.

This seriesoffers kits with a capacity of 8 to 32 GB with frequencies from 2666 to 3400 MHz. At the same time the operating voltage supply for different sets ranging from 1.2 to 1.35 V. In this case, the set consists of four modules totaling 16 GB, the maximum effective frequency 3200 MHz at a voltage of 1.35 V.

Being high-level module, memory kit KINGMAX DDR4-3200 Nano Gaming RAM comes in a cardboard box. In addition to the names of the manufacturer and model of the device the front side contains cutouts, through which you can see the modules. In the upper right corner you can find a list of the model range of this series, with the clock frequency and capacitive configuration of current set. Also here is a notion about support for Windows 8, the technology Intel XMP, proprietary technology NANO Thermal Dissipation and 5-year warranty.

We used software Thaiphoon Burner, designed specifically for testing RAM. The above are a summary and detailed reports on the specifications of set KINGMAX DDR4-3200 Nano Gaming RAM.

As you might have noticed in the table there is only one XMP profile, which has the following characteristics: DDR4-3200 MHz at a voltage of 1.35 V and timings of 16-18-18-36. Its activation was realized without any problems.

Testing

The following test bench was used to test the RAM kit KINGMAX DDR4-3200 Nano Gaming RAM with capacity of 16 GB.

As you can see, the use of the maximum frequency (3200 MHz) provides significantly better results in benchmarks AIDA64. For example, when compared to the operating mode DDR4-2133, the increase can reach 12% to 26%. A comparison with the mode DDR4-2400 shows that an increase is from 4% to 7%. In other synthetic benchmarks the growth is not very significant.

If we evaluate the performance difference of modes when playing modern games, the difference is 1 to 3 frames per second, depending on the speed of the modules which is not essential.

As a direct comparison KINGMAX DDR4-3200 Nano Gaming RAM 16GB and GeIL DDR4 EVO POTENZA QUAD CHANNEL GPR416GB3000C16QC, they show almost identical performance.

Note the advantage of today’s product in the form of absence of overall radiators, which significantly reduces the possibility of any problems with the CPU cooler.
